Auctioneers and Property Services Providers – Deadline for renewal of licence
The Property Services Regulatory Authority issued the new Accountant’s Report on 29th April 2013. All Auctioneers and Property Services Providers (PSPs) renewing their licence will be required to get this report completed and filed in the majority of cases with the Authority by the 25th May 2013.
There are two types of reports depending on the category you are renewing, one for Types A, B and C and a separate one for Type D. Both reports have to be submitted if you are renewing Type D and one or all of Type A, B, C.
As per the Authorities website the non-receipt, by a licensee, of their renewal application form is not a reason which will be accepted for making a late renewal application or not making a renewal application. Failure to lodge the required documents by the deadline will mean that a person will be required to make a licence application and once their current licence expires they will be prohibited from providing property services until a new licence is issued.
Due to the tight deadline imposed if you are in a renewal situation it is vital that you contact your reporting accountant as soon as possible to enable them to commence the work that is necessary to complete their report.
